Code of Conduct:
Paheal seeks to publish informed opinion based on analysis of evidence with adherence to the highest editorial standards.
We welcome critical and thought-provoking opinions. Every argument must be substantiated by credible sources and presented
respectfully to advance meaningful dialogue on the topic in question. We assume any piece submitted has not been simultaneously
offered to any other publication. Paheal will not publish articles that do not live up to these standards.
Editorial Changes:
The editors reserve the right to request edits and changes in order to improve the persuasiveness of the piece.
Plagiarism:
Paheal does not tolerate plagiarism of any kind. Examples include, but are not limited to representing the work of another as one’s own;
failing to properly credit or paraphrase another author’s work; and reusing language from one’s previous publications.
Review Process:
- Paheal will respond to submissions with initial comments within a few days of receiving them.
- Authors are expected to respond to suggestions within 72 hours of receiving them.
- If you do not receive a response within 14 days of submitting your piece, you are free to submit it to other publications.
- All suggestions will be provided in Track Changes mode. Authors are expected to respond in Track Changes mode as well.
- We aim to publish approved articles within 3–4 weeks of receiving them; however, Paheal reserves the right to expedite or delay publication at its discretion.
Length:
Our blog posts are usually between 1000 and 1500 words. Longer pieces may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Intro:
Authors are expected to have a clear thesis statement by communicating their main argument in the opening paragraph.

Citations:
All citations must be included as hyperlinks. In addition to quotes and the work of others, authors are expected to cite all facts and figures.
We encourage references from:
- Reputable local and international publications
- Scholarly articles
- Government publications and reports
- International organisations
- General English: labour instead of labor, etc.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12; line spacing 1.5; alignment justified.
- Acronyms should be spelt out in full the first time they are used (e.g., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)).
