With extensive experience in immigration law and international matters, Mr. Lightman brings a wealth of personal and professional insight to his practice. Prior to founding Lightman Law Firm, Mr. Lightman spent several years working with an international tax consulting and compliance firm, where he focused on cross-border transactions and international tax consulting.
During this time, he worked with clients from across the globe, helping individuals and businesses navigate complex issues in U.S. immigration and international law.
Mr. Lightman is a U.S.-trained lawyer who earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. He is a member in good standing of the New York State Bar and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Personal Background
Mr. Lightman holds dual citizenship in both the United States and Canada, and his personal experiences with immigration law stem from his family’s history as immigrants.
His father and grandfather were both green card holders, and his grandmother worked internationally to assist with the resettlement of refugees.
Having traveled and studied extensively across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America, Mr. Lightman’s international exposure has further shaped his approach to immigration law.
