Attorney | Workers’ Compensation & Personal Injury
New York
Edward “Ed” Guldi is a dedicated and results-driven attorney whose practice centers on workers’ compensation and personal injury law. A member of The Perecman Firm, Ed is widely respected for his strategic advocacy, courtroom experience, and unwavering commitment to protecting the rights of injured workers.
Before entering the legal profession, Ed was trained as a music teacher. Although he initially considered joining his family’s real estate business, his passion for justice ultimately led him to workers’ compensation law an area where he could advocate for individuals often facing powerful employers and insurance carriers. His working-class background gives him a deep understanding of the challenges his clients face and fuels his client-first approach to legal representation.
Ed has achieved significant and lasting results throughout his career, including precedent-setting victories that have strengthened worker protections across New York. He successfully argued Policarpio v. Rally Restoration Corp., a landmark decision frequently cited in workers’ compensation cases. In 2024, he secured another critical ruling requiring the Workers’ Compensation Board to follow its own guidelines when determining Schedule Loss of Use awards, reinforcing fairness and consistency in the system.
In addition to appellate success, Ed has obtained substantial settlements year after year and has handled thousands of administrative trials, mediations, and arbitrations. He is known for his transparent communication style, empathy, and accessibility, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout every stage of their case.
Ed earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with honors, from Clark University. He is a member of the New York State Bar and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers as part of The Perecman Firm’s distinguished legal team.
Outside of his legal practice, Ed is a lifelong violinist and devoted father who takes pride in helping clients secure the justice and stability they deserve.
